Judith Mistor

She grew up in the quintessential urban landscape: in the shadow of the factories of the auto industry. Her sculptural assemblages are created by combining found objects with molded ceramic vessels. Her work is an attempt to resurrect, reinvent and redeem that which has been discarded. "I call my pieces 'Relics', because by reinventing the symbolism of these ordinary objects, by honoring their stories, they are not only redeem in my view, bur consecrated. The are at once worthless, yet sacred, not unlike ourselves."
